GOWANDA, NY — Gowanda High School is officially building its speaker lineup for the 2026-2027 Career Spotlight Series. The school counseling team is inviting local professionals, community leaders, and district alumni to share their industry expertise directly with high school students during the upcoming school year.
The initiative connects classroom learning with real-world paths. By bringing speakers into the building, the district aims to give students firsthand insight into daily job responsibilities, industry demands, and the training or education required for various fields. The series highlights a wide range of career tracks, including healthcare, agriculture, skilled trades, technology, and entrepreneurship.
Speakers are scheduled throughout the academic year to match student interest areas. Community members who want to participate can state their interest by completing a brief online form. The school counseling department will review all submissions and contact volunteers directly to coordinate presentation dates.
