The Public Capital Improvements Project 2025 Vote was held Tuesday, December 9, 2025. The proposition passed 186-66.

Proposition No. 1 Resolution

RESOLVED, that the Board of Education of the Gowanda Central School District is authorized to undertake a Capital Improvements Project, 2025, consisting of reconstructions, renovations, and upgrades to District facilities to implement health, safety, and accessibility measures for an amount not to exceed $44,500,000.
Capital Reserve 2009 $842,800 approx.
Capital Reserve 2019 $2,720,752 approx.
Capital Reserve 2024 $5,936,448
Financed Balance $35,000,000

*State Building Aid, EXCEL Aid, and Native American Building Aid are anticipated to offset a substantial portion of these costs.

  • U.S. Citizen
  • 18 Years of Age or Older
  • District Resident for at least 30 Days

Proof of Residency Required: Driver’s license, non-driver ID, utility bill, or voter registration card.

3 Resident of District for 30+ Days
Proof of Residency Required: Proof may include a driver’s license, non-driver ID, utility bill, or voter registration card. Signature, printed name, and address are required at time of vote.

Absentee Ballots

Applications for absentee ballots are available directly from the District Clerk. Residents unable to vote in person on the scheduled election day are encouraged to apply early.
