Planning for the 2025-2026 academic year at Gowanda Central School District is in full swing. Supply drop-off days, orientations, photo days, open houses and more are scheduled. The first day of student attendance for grades 1-12 is Tuesday, September 2, 2025. (The first full day of school for Pre-K and Kindergarten is Wednesday, September 3, 2025.)
GOWANDA HIGH SCHOOL
- Freshman Orientation at Gowanda High School is scheduled Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 5 p.m.
- Senior Portraits with Lifetouch are scheduled Thursday, August 14, 2025, for the Class of 2026 at Gowanda High School, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
- Student schedules for grades 9-12 will be mailed the week of Monday, August 18, 2025.
- Supply lists for grades 9-12 will be discussed during classes beginning Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
- Photo Day is scheduled Thursday, September 4, 2025, and retakes (for all students and senior portraits) are scheduled Thursday, October 16, 2025. Fall Sports Picture Day is Friday, September 12, 2025.
- Open House is scheduled Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
GOWANDA MIDDLE SCHOOL
- Orientation for incoming fifth-graders and their parents/guardians at Gowanda Middle School is scheduled Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 12 p.m. in the auditorium. Get to know your school! The presentation will be followed by an opportunity to meet teachers, drop off supplies, and receive technology support.
- School Supply Drop-Off for ALL students in grades 5-8 is scheduled Thursday, August 28, 2025, between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Check & Connect homerooms will be posted. Supply lists.
- Student schedules will be handed out on the first day of school.
- Photo Day is scheduled Thursday, September 11, 2025. Retake Day is scheduled Thursday, October 16, 2025.
- Open House is scheduled Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:00 p.m to 6:30 p.m.
GOWANDA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
- Pop on over and chill with us! Community members and students/families of Gowanda Elementary School are encouraged to come say “hello” to incoming Principal Chelsea Kroll and Assistant Principal Chandra Shaver on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 6-7 p.m. and enjoy some popsicles courtesy of the GES PTO.
- Supply drop-off for students in Pre-Kindergarten through fourth grade is scheduled Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Supply lists.
- Kindergarten Orientation is from 9:30-11 a.m. and Pre-K Orientation is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
- Photo Day is scheduled Monday, September 8, 2025. Retakes are scheduled Tuesday, October 14, 2025
- Open House is scheduled Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
