Gowanda Central School District consists of 2 main campuses.
- High School/Middle School (10674 Prospect St. Gowanda, NY 14070)
- Middle School Entrance is located off Panther Dr.
- Elementary School (450 Aldrich St. Gowanda, NY 14070)
Outdoor facilities are generally open to the public when unlocked for limited use.
- Turf Facilities: Open duing school hours.
- Hillis Field: Open daylight (192 North Water St. Gowanda, NY 14070)

Organized gatherings require prior approval. Follow the Facilities Use Process on the next tab.
- Games/events on school property are subject to fees (see attached fees).

Outside organizations must:
- Fill out a digital Facility Use Request Form with the specific date(s) and location of requested use. For availability questions, contact Mandy Pickering at mspickering@gcslearn.org (532-3325 ext.6004).
- A printable filled-in copy will be emailed to the requester and Ms Pickering. Submit the signed form and proof of insurance to mspickering@gcslearn.org within 10 days of the event.
- Approval will be obtained by Ms Pickering from:

- Business Office- anticipated fee determinations which are subject to change (see next tab).
- The user will be contacted with approval and fee totals.
School activities shall have first preference. School personnel authorized by the Superintendent of Schools shall have full access to all facilities at all times. Reservations can be canceled for prioritized school needs.

Code of Conduct:
- All users are expected to maintain a safe and orderly environment which benefits the entire school community as outlined in the Gowanda Central School Code of Conduct.
- Any behavior or conduct of those associated with events on GCS property that is in violation of the Code of Conduct, is grounds for removal of the offender or the organization.
General Rules:
- A custodial staff member is required to be on duty at all times.
- Children (8th grade and less) should be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Animals or pets are not permitted on our facilities.
- No rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, or bikes allowed on concrete/blacktop areas surrounding fields or inside of the Hillis Field fenced area.
- Put all garbage and trash in receptacles.
- Ensure all areas are safe. Know of emergency/evacuation plans and take charge should an emergency take place.
- Use of tobacco products or consumption of alcohol on school property is prohibited.
Indoor Use
- No food or drink is permitted in the auditorium during events.
Exterior HS/MS Restrooms
- Attached to the High School/Middle School building.
- From the softball field proceed across the small back parking lot and follow the sidewalk and signs.
- From the baseball field proceed through the Middle School parking lot. Follow the sidewalk to the left up the small incline.
Gowanda Athletics Turf
- Molded cleats or turf shoes only are permitted on the turf.
- No chairs or tables are permitted on the turf.
- Water is the ONLY beverage allowed inside the fence (no coffee, soda, sports drinks, etc.).
- No spectators on the turf.
- No food, gum, candy, sunflower seeds or glass containers inside the fence or in the dugouts.
- No rollerblades, skateboards, or scooters allowed on the concrete areas surrounding fields.
- Animals or pets are not permitted at our facilities.
- Dugout/storage areas are off limits. Only coach/umpire access may be granted with permission. Do not open the garage door on the baseball dugout. All equipment is off limits. For scoreboard access, contact Athetlic Director Candace Phillips at 716-796-4464.
- Batting cages are generally open to the public when unlocked. They are included in Facility Use Request Process for organized gatherings.
Hillis Field
- Only track spikes allowed on the track. Football/lacrosse cleats use covered areas to cross the track and access the infield.
- Concession areas may be used with prior approval.
- Equipment requests should be specified on the Facility Use Request Form.
- Properly return all field equipment borrowed to storage and report damages or concerns to Athletic Director Candace Phillips (msphillips@gcslearn.org)
Tennis Courts
- Keys can be obtained for $5.00 from the business office during school hours. Lock the gate when you leave.

*A community group shall be defined as non-profit, non-sectarian organization which draws a large majority of its membership from the school district and has its local headquarters within the district. All other groups shall be considered ‘outside organizations.’ | |
Saturday (after 4:00pm) and Sunday Use: An additional charge to reimburse the school district for the necessary actual custodial services will be made for activities scheduled at times that are not within the regular scheduled working hours of the staff and requiring the services of a custodian. |
