Gowanda High School and the Student Council are proud to recognize nine outstanding students as the December 2025 Students of the Month. These individuals were selected by their teachers for demonstrating excellence in the “4Cs”: Collaboration, Creativity, Communication, and Critical Thinking.
Recognizing Excellence in Our Classrooms
Our educators nominated these students for their dedication to their studies, their peers, and the GHS school community:
- Collaboration: Aiden Caroll, Leo Kettle, and Noah Lauer. These students have gone above and beyond to include others, lead group activities, and support school musical productions.
- Creativity: Aiden Ovitt. Aiden is recognized for finding unique “twists” on assignments and creating highly detailed artwork in response to literature.
- Communication: Jarek Howard and Corrine Burch. Jarek is noted for asking thought-provoking questions in science, while Corrine is praised for her respectful interactions and articulate presentation of ideas.
- Critical Thinking: Mari Gangi, Summer Satterfield, and Draycelyn Smith. From solving conceptual problems in art to analyzing complex biological concepts, these students represent the best of GHS’s analytical minds.
Congratulations to All!
We are incredibly proud of the hard work and leadership these students bring to Gowanda High School every day. Their commitment to growth and excellence makes our district proud.
