GOWANDA, NY — SCIENCE CURRICULUM COMES TO LIFE
Last week, fifth-grade students from Gowanda Middle School traveled to the Buffalo Museum of Science for an immersive, day-long field trip designed to extend classroom instruction into a real-world setting.
The educational excursion provided students with unique opportunities to explore interactive exhibits, engage in collaborative, hands-on workshops, and investigate complex scientific concepts across disciplines including natural history, technology, and modern innovation. By connecting classroom units to the museum’s specialized collections, the trip aimed to stimulate long-term curiosity and analytical thinking.
The district extends its sincere appreciation to the Gowanda Middle School faculty, staff, and chaperones whose rigorous planning and supervision insured a safe, successful experience. Throughout the trip, Gowanda students demonstrated exceptional behavioral standards and curiosity, representing their school community with distinct pride.
