GOWANDA, NY — To ensure every student has an equitable opportunity to succeed, Gowanda Central School District has officially extended the third-quarter marking period deadline for all Middle and High School students. The new deadline for assignments, assessments, and makeup work is Wednesday, April 15, 2025.
This decision was made to account for recent disruptions that impacted crucial instructional and lab time at the conclusion of the quarter. By providing this extension, the District is prioritizing Collaboration between staff and students, ensuring that academic eligibility remains fair for those participating in spring athletics, the Junior/Senior Prom, and the upcoming Senior Trip.
Middle School Incentive Day Update
Middle School families should also note that the previously scheduled Incentive Day will be moved to a later date. This shift ensures that all eligible students have the opportunity to participate in the celebration of their hard work once the marking period has officially closed.
Students are encouraged to use the upcoming April break to recharge with their families. Upon returning to school, they will have the immediate opportunity to finalize any outstanding academic requirements. For specific questions regarding assignments, students should reach out to their teachers via Schoology.
