The technology shop at Gowanda High School has transformed into an active gallery space this week. Students in the high school Creativity Class taught by Mr. Partridge have officially unveiled their final projects of the academic year, concluding months of self-directed design work and technical building.
The final products on display feature a diverse collection of wood, metal, and mixed-media designs. Throughout the school year, students progressed from introductory equipment safety assessments to complex structural assemblies. Individuals handled their own material preparation, sand-stripping, and custom finishes to bring their personal project concepts to fruition.
The capstone assignment challenges students to merge critical planning with physical design principles. By managing their own production timelines, balancing raw material choices, and fixing building errors on the fly, our high schoolers gained practical insights into construction, design, and custom trade skills.
