The Gowanda Central School District is built on a foundation of excellence, and our Hall of Fame serves as a permanent tribute to those who paved the way. From the legendary 1982 State Champion Boys Lacrosse team to transformative educators like Mark Leous and Cynthia Ripley, these inductees represent the height of Panther Pride.
We are officially calling on the community to help us identify the next class of legends. We are looking for individuals and teams who embody the “Four Cs”—Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking—both during their time at GCS and in their lives beyond our campus.
Nomination Categories
- Distinguished Educator: Honoring faculty who went above and beyond for their students.
- Distinguished Alumni: Recognizing graduates who have achieved excellence in their careers or service.
- Sports Legend: Celebrating athletes and coaches who dominated the field of play.
- Team of Distinction: Commemorating historic seasons and championship squads.
The Hall of Fame committee accepts nominations year-round, but the deadline for consideration for the 2026 induction cycle is June 1. Following the deadline, the committee will meet to select the honorees, who will be formally recognized during Alumni Weekend in September.
